UMORE AZOKA EDITIONS

The Leioa Town Council, through its Department of Culture, has been organising the Festival of Comedy since 1996. Up until 1999 the performances arranged were held indoors. From then on it has been extended to street performances.

Its success encouraged us to take up a new challenge in 2000, namely the creation of the Festival of Comedy Street Theatre. Thus, since 2000, for four days Leioa becomes the stage and nexus for companies, promoters and enthusiasts of comedy street theatre.
