“Interakt III: Ondas y Probetas” (Waves and Test Tubes)

The students of Fine Arts at the University of the Basque Country are presenting a sound production, along the lines of the performances-concerts of the popular group Fluxus in the 60s, in which any everyday item could be used as a musical instrument.

The idea involves revamping this group’s experimental approach from the perspective of new electronic technologies, combining everyday objects and household appliances, such as a sewing-machine or hair-drier, combined with a computer’s capacity for synthesis.
The performance is arranged as a scientific process in which sounds emerge in step with the experiment’s development
