The action takes place in Paris. In 1950. The place, chez Leplée, a seedy rundown cabaret. Here, every evening, the delightful chanteuses −Dominique and Fatigue−, together with their hard-working friend and pianist −Jean-Paul-Pierre−, scrape by on the meagre earnings they receive for singing, under the tyrannical control of their boss, the songs of the great Edith Piaf.

Until one evening… fortune smiles upon them and they are suddenly faced with the chance of their lives. Whilst they deal with the comic situation, they create their own cabaret show and sing thirteen stunning numbers —that’s right, thirteen— as they wax lyrical about life, love… and men.
